When discussing several advantages of linear programming

When Discussing several advantages of linear programming and clearly explain the reasons for my choices. Our text defines linear programming as "a way of solving for the optimal solution to an aggregate planning problem". Linear programming has a few advantages, such as determining production between regular and overtime hours, including additional shifts, and inventory carryover. Unlike a graphing method, linear programming provides more accurate results and expectations. There have been several studies conducted on the quality of work producted during regular hours vs. overtime hours. My office has taken great interest in these studies because, for a time, they had been paying a lot of money out to employees for overtime hours but were not seeing much of a jump in production. Through linear programming, it can be found that work produced during overtime is not as efficient or quality as during normal hours. The same can be said for additional shifts. Adding additional shifts does not always produce the desired results of increased productivity. Inventory carryover is important for a few reasons. Maintaining sufficient supply to meet upcoming monthly demands and ensuring the inventory is being sold at a sufficient rate and not stockpiling allows a company to gauge what the true demand is for that product. Using linear programming will allow a business to determine the optimal amount of sales needed in order to roll inventory sufficiently. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS RESPONSE? EXPLAIN
