Problem
A social studies teacher recently gave an assignment to middle school students to research a religion of any culture that had been studied in class. A group of students chose to study Islam. One student's parents became angry when they learned about the assignment and called to meet with you. They claimed that the teacher had no right to promote other religions in school and would like for you to investigate. They state that they will go to the school board and the media if this assignment is not dropped from the class.
