Officer Alpha, out on highway patrol, saw a car weaving and crossing the centerline. Alpha pulled the vehicle over and asked the driver to get out of the car for a sobriety test. The driver pulled out a badge and an I.D. card for the state's environmental police unit. "You aren't going to make me take a breath test, are you?" said the driver in a colleague-to-colleague way. Alpha would have made any other driver take a breath test, so what should Alpha do here? To answer this question, use the four approaches recommended in the Williams & Arrigo textbook, chapter 12 (deciding based on duties, on consequences, on virtue, and on care). What would each approach say about whether Alpha should make the driver take a breath test?
