Problem: What will help current and future Texas foster care youth? What about LGBTQ+ foster care youth? Or, foster care youth placed with families who do not share the same religious beliefs and cultural background? Should parents and/or guardians be required to reimburse the state for foster care placement? Should families receive financial support for housing or childcare to keep the family together? What should happen to Texas DFPS? Was their neglect intentional or part of a larger issue? Is more legislation needed? Why are your recommendations the best option?
