Remembering what day it is and if there is significance to it, like your sister's birthday or an anniversary, or planning your day and deciding what to do, cognition is relevant every single day. Applying cognitive psychology can look different across the board, spreading between cognitive behavioral therapy or in customer service improving user experience for technological purposes. Cognitive psychology can be used throughout a multitude of careers and can be beneficial across the board. Studying the inner workings of the mind can be difficult without physically seeing the brain, however, many inner workings show up in physical and outward reactions. Doing behavioral experiments or observations can help discover cognition in the brain and processes.
