Think of a conflict situation and try to re-create segment of the dialog that gets to the heart of the conflict. If you don't feel comfortable sharing a personal conflict find and share a public one (famous feuds, fictional, etc.)
1) What was the background of the conflict?
2) What were your goals or objectives in the conflict?
3) What assumptions were you making? (assume they were out to get you, etc.)
4) Were these conflicts emotional or substantive?
5) Was this an example of a functional or dysfunctional conflict?
6) What were the things that "set-up" the conflict? (antecedents)
7) What personal and/or structural factors were at play?
