Assignment task:
The purpose of this paper is to show your knowledge of suicide assessment. All papers must be submitted in Bright Space
Please create three (3) different fictional personalities and accompanying situations that represent low, medium and high risk for suicide. The circumstances and your character should meet the established criteria for each level of suicide risk. Refer to all of the handouts in the Depression and Suicide units.
You should have a profile, an assessment, and a rationale (see the attached example of as a guide).
Profile: A narrative describing the individual's life experience utilizing the 5 areas of assessment (Depression/loss, History, Plan, Resources, and Drug and Alcohol abuse): Areas to cover in profile should include: family, work/school, social life, culture, and important relationships.
Assessment: High, Moderate, or Low lethality
Rationale: The evidence that supports your assessment written in assessment terms. Your rationale must support what is written in your profile and must cover all 5 areas of assessment. *You will not receive credit for information in your rationale that is not present in your profile narrative.
This writing assignment has additional significance in that the personalities you develop will be the same ones you will use for two classes to help each other practice for the final demonstration of skills.
