Reflect back on the topics we have covered this term. In the SimUText exercises, you discovered what areas of Earth have the greatest biodiversity and why. You explored how corridors and stepping stones can be used as a conservation tool. You modeled species loss due to pollution and you practiced saving a species using captive breeding and re-introduction techniques. In addition, in the module resources, we have explored other conservation tools such as education, legislation, preservation of habitat, and ecotourism. What tools do you think work best for conserving biodiversity? Are there any tools currently in use that you would modify or stop using altogether? What other steps could we take to conserve biodiversity?
