Assume the role of Valerie Merz attempting to address the existing issues on February 13, 2009. Keep in mind that Merz is one member of the project team and does not, on her own, have the authority to make organization-wide changes. Provide a practical plan for the steps SHE can take in her current position and who else she may be able to influence to achieve her goals. Your executive summary should not exceed one page, but you may include exhibits in the appendix as needed. The group leader should submit only one file for the group to the assignment folder. Consider: What forces are affecting the IntensCare team's behavior, culture, and outcome? What qualities make a good project manager? How do you evaluate the existing team members on these qualities? What is at stake for MediSys, in terms of both meeting its initial goals for the team and in terms of meeting its competitive goals? What level of executive involvement is appropriate for such a project? What tools are available to for the team's use?
