I. You and a friend have just decided to set up a coffee shop (or some other kind of spot for personal relaxation. If you are thinking of something other than a coffee shop, tell exactly what kind of business you are thinking about). What kind of industry structure (perfect competition, monopolistic competition, etc.) do you think the coffee shop industry has? How will you manage to achieve sustained competitive advantage over the many other coffee shops? What competences will you pursue, what resources will you build, and what strategies will you adopt to build them?
II. Do you believe the approach of the consulting firm discussed in What I Didn't Learn in Business School should be changed to address the issues discussed in Reimagining Capitalism? If so, how? How might the firm address key issues while remaining successful?
