After careful and thorough research in this week's readings, the following are some of the ethical challenges security executives face ("What Security Executives Should Know About Ethics," 2009). Workplace violence Physical safety Employee screening Doing business abroad A workplace violence case evolved in the year of 2010 to ma named Dixon. An employee of Acorn housing projects. He was taken away by four private security guards of Acorn due to the misidentification of Dixon and later Dixon sued the Oakland Police Department and the Personal Protective Service of Acorn for the damages caused. Dixon was awarded 135,000 dollars in compensation for the damages (Herships, 2019). The most helpful way to decrease these challenges is to ask questions from the board of the company such as "How will it look like to be in the headlines of New York Times?" Secondly, a security executive could decrease challenges by adhering to the code of conduct in the company ("What Security Executives Should Know About Ethics," 2009).
