Write from a 1st person perspective.
1) Write down examples of empathic awareness and checking understanding that occur this week.
2) Describe examples of situations when you have responded to someone by sharing empathic thoughts or experiences.
3) What responses did you receive in these situations?
4) What other things did you notice about the ways you interact with others?
5) Describe how often you use empathy in communication, under what circumstances, and in what types of interaction-with friends, adults, family, children, supervisees, teachers, etc.
6) What are the results?
