Homework
This homework is about constructing survey questions. Choose ONE of the following topics and write 5 to 7 survey questions to elicit the information from an appropriate sample group you would need to study the topic. Make sure to write good unbiased questions that elicit the information needed. State your population of interest (i.e., you choose the group you are studying). Pay particular attention to the guidelines on pp. 226-235 in your textbook.
Assumptions: You may need to state some assumptions in order for your questions to make sense...if so, state these up front. Also state your population and sample groups, and state the group to whom you wish to generalize your results.
Topics (choose one):
a. What percentage of high school sophomores have used illegal drugs?
b. Do prison inmates behave better if given access to library materials?
c. How much does peer pressure affect the way junior high girls act out in school?
d. Does parental involvement in talking about sex keep their children from engaging in risky sexual behavior?
e. Why do some people seek thrills even though they may be dangerous (i.e. skydiving, bungee jumping, extreme sports, etc.)
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
b. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
c. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
