Problem:
Dr. Dre is investigating whether what people listen to between hearing information and a recall test will affect how much they are able to recall. He recruits 400 male college students. All participants are run through 4 trials on 4 separate days. In each trial the subjects hear different names of 30 famous people. They are then given a 15 minute distracter task in which they use crayons to color in a drawing, and then they are asked to recall the names by writing down as many as they can remember. During the distracter task for the first trial, each subject listens to rap music, during the distracter task for the second trial each person listens to classical music, during the distracter task for the third trial each person listens to country music, and during the distracter task for the fourth trial each person listens to jazz music. The number of names correctly recalled is recorded for each trial.
