Problem regarding the social emotional development

Assignment task:

Social Emotional Development Discussion #1--GRACE PERIOD DOES NOT APPLY

Children shape their self-image through positive attitudes and behaviors that are guided by adults. Adults can show what is good, right, and true when it comes to teaching them how to think. Also, focusing on the positive qualities of the child instead of the negative ones. The more adults criticize or nag about their poor behaviors. The children will feel defeated and challenged by what they can achieve. Adults need to accept the imperfections of their children, but to encourage more of what they are interested in. To give them more compliments and praise for what they can do instead of what they cannot do. A positive self-image not only influences how others perceive the child but also a sense of self-worth. This affects how children see themselves as accomplishments in society.

Teachers can encourage children by giving praise when they can accomplish a task on their own. Also, giving children to opportunity to interact with others, is a way to build positive relationships with one another.

Extend the conversation and respond to the discussion above. In your response, provide one strategy teachers can use in the classroom to support the growth of a positive self-image.
