Discussion Post: Richard Wright's Black Boy
In Wright's memoir focus on the narrator's increasing realization of his family's tentative hold on stability as he learns to recognize the full dimensions of a social system founded on hate. How do the conflicts between black and white groups and cultures in either of these works reveal the harmful effects they have on African or African-American families and communities?
