1) Discuss mandated reporting involving intimate partner violence. What are you required to report and what must you keep confidential with an adult client?
2) Discuss any past nursing experience you have had with a client involved in intimate partner violence as either the victim or perpetrator.
3) As a PMHNP, how would you approach therapy with a perpetrator who is wanting to change their behaviors, who has a past history of generational physical abuse in their childhood, and angry outbursts? What is the best therapy modality and why? Would this person benefit from group therapy? Why or why not?
