What values or ethics do you believe are suggested by the story? As your reading of a text progresses, what surprises you, inspires you? Themes analysis. (Post-colonial reading). Compare and/or contrast issues of racism depicted in the play to today's issues around race. What issues emerge in the play? Are those issues similar to some issues surrounding people of color or immigrants today? To what extent is the play accessible to us today? How or why is the play relatable or current?
