The intersection between the historical past and the general public is an interesting one. The presentation of the past to the present often requires research and, depending on the medium, artistic interpretation. This assignment will require each student to engage with this dynamic on a topic of their choosing. submission will include a PowerPoint presentation, which will include all parts outlined below in the Format section.
Requirements
I. Select one movie that focuses on a historical event or person. The movie selection is completely up to you but see below for a list of suggestions:

II. Research the event or person depicted in your movie selection. Do enough research to ensure you have a good working historical understanding of the subject. Ask yourself the standard Ws (Who, What, When, Where, and most importantly Why).
III. Watch the movie.
IV. Compose a PowerPoint Slide presentation that incorporates the information listed below.
a. Title slide with an Informative title and credit information: Your title slide should be short, sweet, and informative and include your title, your name, and the title of your movie.
b. Historical Background:?In the next series of slides, provide a historical commentary of the subject. Answer the Ws (Who, What, When, Where, and most importantly Why is this subject important).
c. Movie Synopsis:?In the next series of slides, describe the movie. What's the plot, what major events transpired, and who are the main characters?
d. Interpretation: In the next series of slides, answer the following question with specific examples: Was this movie a historically accurate depiction of the event or person?
e. Critique:? In the next series of slides, answer the following question with specific examples: In your opinion, was the movie successful along the lines of raising historical awareness of the person or event in an entertaining way?
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
b. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
c. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
