What we learn in school and the way we learn it has shifted immensely in the last twenty-five years. For this journal look for examples of courses that were once taught at schools and colleges but that are less important or nonexistent today.
In a 1 page response discuss how cultural changes create changes in education. In your response incorporate answers to the following questions:
a) Based on your examples of outdated courses. Who were these courses for?
b) What assumptions did such courses make about socialization and identity?
c) What languages were taught in the past? Taught today?
d) What cultural needs does education fulfill?
The response must include a reference list. One-inch margins, double-space, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
