This group is to study this case which was published in the HBR as one of the first it ever published on OPSCM. The group should study their unique and trend setting approach to OPSCM and their design of the production process. The Alignment Matrix (AM) will be helpful to answer the questions if the group wishes to complete it first. This company is in the same industry as Zara.

Task

A. What is their competitive market strategy (AM row #1A) and the appropriate OPSCM strategy (AM rows #2A & 2B) to support it? How do these strategies compare with Zara?

E. Which OPSCM design do you prefer of these cases: Sports Obermeyer (wk#2), Zara (wk#3) or Li Fung (wk#4)? Why?
