Problem

Context: Calvin was an instructor at KPU for 15 full years. When Calvin was an instructor he was a union member in the Kwantlen Faculty Association. Two years ago he applied for and was given the position of Associate Dean which is the first level of the academic management structure. In that role Calvin reports to the Dean and is one of two Associate Deans in the School of Business. KPU is suffering from a shortfall in its budget and has eliminated some Associate Dean positions one of which was Calvin's. When he took the promotion to Associate Dean he became a "manager" pursuant to the labour code. Calvin is a neighbour of yours. He knows that you are an HR professional and he tells you he has just been fired and asks you to advise him as to his legal rights.

Task
