Assignment task: A piece of iron is placed in a magnetic field of H=1.5 A/m facing out of the page.
a. What is the relative permeability of iron?
b. What is the magnitude and direction of the magnetic flux density B within the air?
c. What is the magnitude and direction of the magnetic flux density B within the iron rod?
The answer for this question is 0.528T. I didn't get the same answer. Please show how the equations are derived as well thank you.
Please also explain how you know whether it is facing out the page or in another direction.
