As we discussed in this week's lectures, some scholars have critiqued the Qur'an for its apparent lack of organization, while others have found a great deal of structural unity within it. Based on your reading of Sura 54 for this week, and, if you like, the lectures, answer the following questions: Can you find a discernible beginning, middle and end in it? If so, which verses comprise each? What is the relationship of the middle parts to each other? What is the relationship of the middle parts to the beginning and the end, and of the beginning and end to each other? Do you find structural unity within it? If so, what does that unity consist of?
