Problem: What is Psychological and Biopsychology Research and Why is it Important?
This week we are discussing psychological and biopsychology research. There are many subjects that have been explored over the last century, and there will be many more subjects explored in the years to come. What subject would you like to see explored? How does research fit into the nursing world?
1. Briefly describe the scientific method. Then compare and contrast two approaches to research mentioned in section 2.2 along with the advantages and disadvantages of their uses in research. Need Assignment Help?
2. If you could conduct your own biopsychology research study that pertains to the nursing profession, what would your topic be? What ethical concerns might arise during your study and how would you address them?
3. After reading your textbook, choose one of the various unethical studies that were described (Tuskegee syphilis study, Stanford prison experiment, little Alert experiment, etc.). Then, describe what modifications you would make to that study to make it an ethical study that could be conducted today.
