Apply the laws and policies, adding your own classroom expectations to make a classroom device policy.
Consider how you might get student attention when they are on devices.
• What is okay for them to do with a device?
• What is not okay for them to do with a device?
• What expectations for passwords, programs, screentime do you have for them?
Consider looking at some examples online or look up district policies from near you.
Design a document handout on the doc attached below that will help parents and students understand your classroom technology expectations, consequences and purposes for your expectations.
Be sure to include COPPA, FERPA, CIPA and copyright expectations and information for families.
