Here is a study question from my microbiology class.
Question 1: What would a cell have to do to adapt from an aerobic respiratory pathway to an anaerobic one, without making the switch to fermentation?
Question 2: Certain drugs are used as cancer treatment, because they interrupt microtubule formation and subsequently, mitosis. Why would interrupting mitosis formation stop mitosis? If you added such a drug to the cells of an onion root tip, at which stage of mitosis would you predict to find the majority of the cells?
