What is a concept of the modern man

Discusss the following in detail in a 200 words:

Based on Hemingway and TS Eliot, what are your impressions of the "Modern Man"?

The concept of the "Modern Man" is problematic because it obviously ignores half of the population. Do we ever wonder what the "Modern Woman" was doing at the time? Probably not since she is virtually invisible in the Modern era. In professional writing today, gender-inclusive language is the norm, and writers as a rule use terms like "human" instead of "man." Also, instead of using pronouns like "he" as the default, they commonly use both "he" and "she" interchangeably throughout their writing, or, better yet, use the plural pronoun "they" to avoid the issue of gender altogether. Please keep this in mind when writing your essays and follow the standard to speak in gender-neutral and inclusive language whenever possible.

Share a web-based resource that you located that gave you more information about one of our readings this week, about Modernism, about WWI or about a specific author we covered. It could be a video or a website with text. Explain how the source contributed to your understanding. Is it the kind of source you could use in a literary essay, or is it better for 'preliminary research' and overall understanding, but not appropriate for academic use? Why?
