Sternberg described love as a triangle with three sides: passion, intimacy, and commitment. You read in your text this module, for marriage to be successful and lasting, all three of these must be present and well developed within the relationship. After reading this module, discuss the following:
1) Describe the characteristics of each of these.
2) What happens in a relationship when one of these fades away?
3) When looking at love from a biblical perspective, one can see that God actually came up with this love combination first. What are God's counterparts to these three kinds of love?
4) What has happened in the past number of decades in relationships that have led to the rise in divorce in relation to these loves?
