The business continuity plan takes the disaster recovery plan one step further. This plan outlines how the business will continue its operations after the disaster. It also outlines how the business will continue its operations after smaller, less disastrous events, such as power outages.
The plan outlines how and where the business will operate if it is forced to move to a temporary location.
It identifies the long-term, crucial strategies that are needed to ensure that the business maintains stability and generates profits.
1- Outline of the company, number of employees, location, infrastructure of the organization
2- What happened? Natural disaster? Hacking? Sabotage? Employee error?
3- What did you do immediately to fix the situation? Triage?
4- What did you do long term to remedy the situation for the future of the organization?
5- Train employees
6- Implementation of remedy
7- Monitoring and maintenance of the implemented plan.
8- Post plan assessment.
