Malingering is intentionally fabricating a physical or mental disorder for personal gain. Assume you are a prosecutor who has received a forensic mental health evaluation for a defendant charged with a violent crime; however, you suspect the defendant may be malingering. What evidence would you look for to confirm or dispel your suspicions? Do you think there is any way to prove someone is malingering definitively?
