What does their first-person perspective reveal about race

Discussion Post

Read abolition and anti-slavery (from Proquest--the link is in the Course Materials tab) and compose a 4-5 page (double-spaced) analysis of the text. In your paper you should: identify the author and the context (time, place) where they lived and the circumstances of their life, explain the major details of the sections read/covered, explain what insights related to their identity they offer. How did either the author of the abolitionist/anti-slavery text or Walker understand themselves in the context of American slavery? What does their first-person perspective reveal about race in the United States during the period of slavery? Be sure to include judicious details and evidence directly from the text.

For the Proquest texts, you have the option of reading any or all of the texts under Slavery and Abolitionist Movement (1790-1860). A strong paper will be inclusive of multiple ideas and perspectives.

The response must include a reference list. One-inch margins, double-space, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
