i. During different seasons of the year, we read and hear about the "cold" and "warm" fronts that bring different weather conditions to our states. Explain the origins and causes of these events. Discuss the different kinds of fronts that can form.
ii. Those of us who live in cities realize that the temperatures, particularly at night, are much higher than those enjoyed by rural areas surrounding the cities. What do you think is the rationale for the urban heat island effect to take place in a city? What is one factor that can perhaps partially mitigate that effect?
