• What do you think is more important about being "authentic"?
• Is it more important to live certain events to be able to express them, or is it it more important to have a strong connection to the arts used to express these events ? Do you need to "live it" or just know what "it" sounds like?
• Or does none of that matter - do we take what we want out of Hip Hop and decide whether it connects to us in a "real" or "authentic" way on our own terms?
• Do we just decide what is "authentic" based on both our own experiences and, more importantly, what we "like"?
The response should include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
