III. Respond to this post below with reasons if you agree or disagree with the student's post: I personally think that there are multiple major reasons that cause youth to commit crimes. The reasons that stand out to me the most would be, violence in the home and peer pressure from their circle of friends or even family. A young person that is subject to violence at a young age, is highly likely to turn into a violent person in the future. A major conflict of interest would be peer pressure, especially from their friend circle. Just to fit in they may do criminal acts just to prove their cool enough which leads to youth committing crimes. The most important way to help dissuade youth from committing crimes would be, as a parent to be there for your child and show you care. With some guidance and advice, youth can take it very far in life and help them make the right decision. Another option would be school, you can learn a lot from teachers and guidance counsellors. They teach us and prepare us for our future and during school. This is why choosing your friend circle right is very important because it can lead to mistakes that can affect you forever.
