What do you think made Rome so great (what exactly impressed you the most about Rome)? What were its greatest strengths and what do you think about Roman democracy? What, in general, do you think makes any empire or country powerful and wealthy? In short, what keeps people happy?
What were Rome's weaknesses? What did you dislike about Rome? What do you think causes an empire or society to fall apart? What are the warning signs? How does a country lose freedom and democracy (This, of course, also happened in Rome during the Bread and Circuses period)?
