a) Do all people and societies view prostitution in the same way? What does this tell us about social problems?
b) analyze prostitution from the theoretical perspective (functionalism, conflict theory/feminism, symbolic interactionism) Point out at least one weakness in this perspective on prostitution.
c) Finally, what, if anything, should be done about the issue of pornography? Is there widespread agreement as to what constitutes pornography or do definitions vary? How would you define pornography? Might reasonable people define pornography differently than you?
