Problem: Respond to Many of the video clips of Genies showed that she experienced a lot of joy and happiness in her recovery. It shows that after she was rescued, the care, time, and attention that she had never experienced began to show her that humanity is different from what she had experienced up until that point. This care and attention is what allowed her to start developing, as she was getting the one-on-one attention with development like she would when she was little, only except from her parents, this came from foster parents and researchers. With the mention of her staying with researchers and such being taboo and how it was atypical, I believe her case was so severe that at least in the short term, that was warranted and needed, with exterior oversight and follow-up by the state.
