When she was 7 years old, she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. She has lived with her mother who managed her insulin, and diabetes care until Janet recently moved to the dorm at the University. The nurse reports to you the blood glucose point of care was 458.
On interview with the Janet, you ask her if she has been taking her insulin, and she responds, "Well, my mother usually reminds me but I am not living at home anymore, I may have forgotten."
