What are the various approaches to educating children who speak a language different from the dominant culture? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each method for fostering the child's intellectual, linguistic, and emotional development? Consider the experiences of at least two different ethnic groups, such as French- Canadians, Mexican-Americans, Puerto Ricans living on the mainland, or Native Americans.
