Take some time to consider the following questions and give some feedback after your reading of the documents. You need not answer them all, and if you have questions, feel free to contribute below -or- follow up other comments with your own.
• What makes, to you, Paine's suggestions in "Common Sense" so powerful? Why might it appeal to Americans?
• What are the strengths of the Declaration of Independence? What are the weaknesses? Do you think that it is a strong document or a weak one? Why?
• In the image "America as a Symbol of Liberty" what themes stick out to you? What is the purpose of this image?
• According to Federalist 21, what are the problems with the Constitution? Do you agree with the problems?
The response should include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
