Problem
You have a student who will not ask for help, although there are multiple skills/tasks/activities that they are unsure of. When you try and demonstrate and show this student the specific skills/tasks/activities, they say, "I know that", even though they don't "know that".
I. How will you handle this situation?
You can ask quietly and alone rather than in front of the other class if they are following and have any questions. If they still say, "I know that" then you can ask that student for a return demonstration of the task/skills.
II. What are the risks of not handling it?
If the issue is never addressed, the student may continue to do the same and may not learn anything, which can danger the person receiving the care from them.
