Book Review Assignment
Chose a book that focuses on U.S. environmental policy broadly (or specific to the U.S. West), a specific topic, or environmental history. Write a 8-10 page book review based on the following outline:
I. Introduction: Title and general subject matter of your selected book.
II. Themes: What are the major themes investigated in the book?
III. Arguments: What arguments, hypotheses, etc. does the author(s) make concerning the themes of the book?
IV. Analysis: What are your thoughts on the book? Are the themes appropriate? Do you agree with any conclusions or arguments made by the author(s)? Are there any contemporary events in the Western U.S. or the U.S. in general, which help emphasize arguments or themes in the book?
V. Conclusion: Relevant concluding comments concerning the book and book review you have written. You are welcome to chose your own book, or email me for suggestions.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
