Research response to intervention (RTI) at the elementary, middle, and high school levels on the RTI Action Network website.
Make a response to intervention timeline for either the elementary, middle, or high school level, using a technology tool from the Technology Resource Library, or another tool approved by your instructor.
Include the following in your timeline:
1) Benchmark assessment and progress-monitoring tools
2) Evaluation of the assessment as it relates to the exceptionality
3) Classroom assessments
4) Evaluation process of the assessments
5) Detailed description of Tiers 1, 2, and 3 and their purposes
6) Two or three interventions at each tier
7) Frequency of assessment and progress-monitoring
8) How movement between tiers will occur
9) How you will ethically and appropriately share data points with relevant stakeholders, including parents and professional colleagues at your school site to generate further questions and inform decision making.
Response in a separate document to the following questions:
1) What are the benefits to using an RTI model?
2) What are the challenges of using an RTI model?'
