Problem
I am part owner of a franchisor. We are a fledgling start up that is growing very fast. By year end we will have 15 franchisee's. We have a mobile service using hydrogen to clean carbon from internal combusting engines. The latest FDD does not mandate our franchisee's used software we provide for accounting, it will once we renew it. Franchisee's are not loading sales info into our CRM, so our royalties are at minimums. We KNOW franchisee's are not loading info and strongly suspect it's intentional to avoid royalties. What are our options and is it normal to require franchise's to use software we provide and we do the bookkeeping? My main occupation is a CPA with a large staff.
