The country that I have chosen is Australia and I want to talk about it.
• Describe the key differences between theSustainable Development Goals (SDGs) andthe Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Select one country (you can choose the country you belong to) and prepare a report summarising how your country has fared in terms of the Millennium Development Goals. Where did the country fare well or poorly? What were the conditions that enabled or hindered its progress? How may the introduction of the SDGs improve progress (you can select just one area of progress here - e.g. gender equality)?
• What are ecosystem services? Describe four categories of ecosystem services and illustrate using examples.
• Describe the main types of global land use transformations that have occurred in the past seven decades (i.e. since after World War II)? Taking a country you are familiar with, what have been the main causes of these land use changes?
