What approaches to securing facility space has organization

Assignment task:

Human service organizations have several basic options for meeting their facility needs, including finding space in the community, leasing facility space, renovating existing or leased facilities, and initiating new construction. These options are presented in chapters 7 through 10 in your textbook, Improving Facilities (Chen & MacAulay, 1999).

When negotiating leases (also discussed in your online readings), it is important to be knowledgeable about available options and the terminology used in lease agreements; this knowledge helps ensure that the needs of your organization are met. The discussion for this module will give you an opportunity to (a) share your organization's experiences with meeting facility needs, (b) apply your readings to your organization, and (c) brainstorm creative facility options.
