We have a small wood deck, 8' by 8' This deckshould only have a max of five adults on it. Oneside of deck is attached to the wall of the house, and out from this wall is two post six feet from the wall. Problemis the load bearing strength of the beam that sits on top of the two posts. Please give the numberal value of the following strengths of the support beam. This is sort of oneverses (vs.) the other.
A. A single 12" by 2" vs. two 8" by 2" boardsnailed together.
B. A single 12" by 2" vs. two 10" by 2" boards nailedtogether.
