One way that I really like using mindfulness is walking outdoors and trying to focus on my surroundings. I will do things like try to see how many different species of birds I can find, or plants, or just different animals. It keeps my mind from wandering and thinking about stress, and redirects my attention to something I know makes me happy and calms me.
