The Guardian newspaper claims that it has at least 40% of the readership market. To test this claim, a print media analyst conducted a survey amongst newspaper readers. Each of the 120 randomly sampled readers was asked to identify which newspaper (VoiceSunMail or Guardian) they buy and read most often.

(a) Use the PivotTable option in the Data tab to produce a frequency table (one- pivot table) and then construct a bar chart of newspaper readership preferences using the Column option in the Insert > Charttab. Interpret the summary statistics.

(b) Formulate the null and alternative hypothesis to examine the Guardian's claim.

(c) Test the Guardian's claim by conducting a hypothesis test for a single proportion at the 5% level of significance. Is the Guardian's claim overstated? Justify.
